So week one of Miss Royalty 2015 challenge was to style something inspired by the famous designer Edith Head. If she's not famous to you because you've never heard of her, let me shine some light. Edith Head's most famous costume or styled designs would include the classy, sleek and elegant number that Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. That would be the most iconic but Edith Head also designed looks for other famous actresses such as Grace Kelly and the ever so funny Lucille Ball.
To create my look I had to dig around and try different things, but I decided to go with a design from Breakfast at Tiffany's, which inspired me to come up with a modern twist to it. For my main piece being the dress, I used the beautiful capital cocktail dress by Dead Dollz. The dress simple and classy in black, the more modern twist was the gathering of the skirt being more big and bold as well as a strapless. I decided to keep the black and white theme and accessories with the black over sized hat and white ribbon from Leverocci, Divina Sunglasses from B&W Designs, Opera gloves from Adam n' Eve, Classic pearls from Lazuri and last but not least Mary Jane heels from Alyce. I'd say the inspiration of the design was well held, because I didn't want to copy the look, I wanted to style it with the feel of classy, elegance of Edith Head but the stamp that said Athena Rose Boom.
