This post a not exactly your fashion or home and garden post because
this post is more for our SL community support for one another.
Let me start with how I am a fashion blogger majority of the time and to me this is important because I do work with designers. Now speaking of designers, there's a wonderful designer named Lexi Zelin. She is the designer of AngelRED Couture. Some of you have heard of her or have shopped at AngelRED Couture before. Lexi was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Those of you who don't know Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a rare cancer that attacks the immune system ( aka lymphatic system). As the cancer progresses , it limits the body's ability to fight off infections.
Now what's great is our grid wide/world wide community of Secondlife is so amazing when we can all come together to help a friend, fellow designer or a fellow SLer who needs the help. I personally may not know Lexi but to know we create in the same virtual world, she's a friend. I'm asking my sponsors, my friends, my fellow creators to come and help out. Because if it were any of you, wouldn't you want that help to?
So here's a couple ways to help out Lexi:
If you go to Go FundMe, you'll be taken to Lexi's page where you can also read more about her story and how she's doing. It's also one of the secured ways of donating to help Lexi out.
The Lexi Project is being held by Heather Smithson and Toxxic Rhiannyr. A couple of friends in Secondlife who know Lexi, are putting together an event to help raise funds for Lexi as well. So this is going to be just like going to Hair Fair, the linden you spend is going to go towards helping someone and that someone is Lexi. They are short on time, because they'd like to open the event up on July 26th. What they're asking is for designer to make something original or to remake a product that can be sold at the event. It is 100% donation. So designers, please if you feel it in your heart and want to help, I highly suggest taking that link above and apply.
Also for the event land, Depraved nation has donated some land to hold the event on. There's no cost to join. After being accepted, pick a spot, pay the sign thing ( 0L) and stick your logo in. You've got 10 prim to display but if you need more please contact Heather or Toxxic.
